We will also map out the water damaged area and record moisture readings on all affected materials. We then come back every day to monitor the drying progress and make adjustments based on our moisture readings. The data is charted and recorded in a Record of Drying Conditions, and we give you a copy for your records. The Record of Drying Conditions shows the moisture content of wet building materials throughout the course of the loss and compares the moisture content to that of dry building materials. We don't leave until all the materials are dry.

Mold growth starts in as little as 48 – 72 hours after a water damage happens. If left unattended, mold can spread at an alarming rate. The toxins present in some molds (called mycotoxins) can pose a serious health risk, especially to the infants, the elderly, and anyone with a compromised immune system. Mold will also make allergies and asthma worse.

And killing mold is not enough. The mycotoxins are chemicals that are present in the mold, whether it is alive or dead. These mycotoxins cannot be killed with a spray. The only way to deal with them is by removing the mold that is present, both on a surface and in the air.
